With the school half-term break approaching, now is the perfect time to start thinking of fun and family friendly activities. While other families are squeezing into cinema seats and emptying their pockets in arcades, why not stand out by taking your family to Game Of Throwing’s urban axe-throwing experience?
With thirteen locations across the United Kingdom, axe-throwing has never been more accessible and safe!
Who Can Play?
For ages 10 and up, sessions are lead by a team of expert axe-throwing coaches working hard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of every visitor.
All of our lanes are divided and enclosed so that every group’s session is safe and private, and don’t worry - You won’t be sharing your lane with any other groups!
Whether you want to learn trickshots or simply get in some target practice - our coaches are friendly, knowledgable, and patient!
Sessions last up to 1 hour with 30-minute walk-in taster sessions available. Sessions will begin with a short instructional demonstration from your coach, who will be closeby and checking in throughout the hour to help you hone your skills and ensure your safety.
Food and Drink
Staying cool and hydrated in the summer heat is important - cold drinks are available at all our locations and can be brought right up to the lanes.
At our Newcastle City Centre location, we can provide freshly made hot coffees and teas, chocolate bars, crisps, and more!
And don’t worry - family and friends are more than welcome to just sit and watch if they’d rather not participate themselves, as we have plenty of room in our cafe.

What Will We Need?
All we ask is that everyone attends wearing comfortable clothing suitable for exercise, and closed-toe shoes (save your sandals for the beach!)
On arrival, anyone with long hair will be asked to tie it back so as to keep it out of your eyes during the session. We also recommend that you remove any loose jewelry such as hoop earrings, long necklaces, etc that could catch while throwing - but this is completely at your discretion!
